OSF HOLY FAMILY MEDICAL CENTER Celebrates Hospital Week and benefits Alzheimer's Association
OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth celebrates National Hospital Week while benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. For National Hospital Week, May 6-12, 2007, we are paying tribute to the pride, professionalism and people of health care with the inspiring slogan “Care You Count On, People You Trust.” A Unifying theme, it spotlights the extraordinary relationship between hospitals and the communities we serve.
As a part of this year’s National Hospital Week celebration, OSF Holy Family Medical Center employees will be recognized through the following special activities:
Sunday May 6th from 2 to 3:30 pm an Ice Cream Social will be held, this event is open to the public. At 2:15 an Employee Pet Parade will take place on the East lawn, come out and vote for you favorite pet, Doggie Treats will be available for sale. (All proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association)
Monday May 7th from 7 to 9 am, Pancake Breakfast and Benefit Open to the Public. 2 for $2 – Two Pancakes and Two pieces of Sausage/Bacon for $2 – Held in the OSF Holy Family Medical Center Cafeteria. (All proceeds donated to the Alzheimer’s Association)
Tuesday May 8th from 2 to 5 pm, HUGE Vendor Fair – Open to the Public. Wednesday May 9th OSF Holy Family Medical Center will be celebrating National Hospital Week with an Employee Cookout.
Thursday May 10th OSF Holy Family Medical Center will celebrate “Employee Health Day”
Friday May 11th Uniform Den will be at the hospital from 7 am to 5 pm, this is additionally open to the public.

The celebration of National Hospital Week began in 1921 when a magazine editor suggested that more information about hospitals might alleviate public fears about the "shrouded" institutions of the day. From that beginning, Hospital Week expanded to facilities across the nation. Today, through promotion and participation, National Hospital Week has grown into the nation's largest health care event.
