Sports Physicals
Each year, members of the Delta County Medical Society and staff from OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group offer sports physicals for area youth entering grades 8-12. More than 1,400 student athletes participate in the screening exams, held annually in the spring. Screenings are typically held over a two-day period: one day at the Gladstone High School and one day at the Escanaba High School. Students from Escanaba, Bark River-Harris, Holy Name, Gladstone, Rapid River and Mid-Peninsula schools are invited. More information can be found at your school’s activities or general office. Youth entering seventh grade or younger who plan to participate in sports must have an examination in their physician’s office.
