Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise Program
Taught by certified instructors of the Arthritis Foundation, with emphasis on gentle range of motion and flexibility. Participants meet twice weekly. Need not know how to swim, but physician approval and advance registration are required. Location: Pontiac Elks Club Pool. Cost: $36 per 6-week series. To register, call (815) 842-4545. Sharon carries three lines of products:Amoena,Camp and Nearly Me. Sharon is a Medicare provider and will bill Medicare for her customers,but is not a Medicare assignment. Beyond Grief Support Group
The "Beyond Grief" support group is an interdenominational group of caring persons who have lost a loved one. The group includes persons of all ages and is open to the public. Members help each other cope with grief and life changes after the death of a friend or relative. The group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at OSF HomeCare & Hospice, 608 N. Breast-feeding Class
This 1.5 hour class teaches the techniques and information needed by expectant mothers to begin successful breastfeeding. It includes a support group for new mothers who are nursing their infants. Look Good....Feel Better
Women who have cancer often want to feel better about their appearance. Look Good...Feel Better teaches women how to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment. Taught by professional cosmetologists, the program is open to all women undergoing cancer treatment, and it's free. The Look Good...Feel Better session will be held in the Education Center at OSF Saint James Medical Center every other month. Safe Ride Home
It is the law in Illinois that infants and children under 8 must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat. Expectant parents should attend this class between fourth to eight months of pregnancy. A trained child passenger safety technician teaches the class and
will assist you in proper installation of your seat. Call 815-842-4545 to register for this free class.
* Note: Safe Ride Home Class does not provide infant seats. Parents need to purchase a car seat prior to class. Financial assistance is available for families who qualify under federal income guidelines. Contact the Patient Accounts department for an application.
