Beyond Grief Support Group
The "Beyond Grief" support group is an interdenominational group of caring persons who have lost a loved one. The group includes persons of all ages and is open to the public. Members help each other cope with grief and life changes after the death of a friend or relative. The group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at OSF HomeCare & Hospice, 608 N. Breast Cancer Education/Information/Support Group
These meetings are for persons with a diagnosis of breast cancer who are interested in learning more about breast cancer and sharing of information about the challenges faced by cancer and strategies used to cope. Education and information on current therapies and issues, current health trends, research related to breast cancer are covered. Breast-feeding Class
This 1.5 hour class teaches the techniques and information needed by expectant mothers to begin successful breastfeeding. It includes a support group for new mothers who are nursing their infants. Living on the Border Keeping Diabetes At Bay
Are you "Living on the Border?" If you have been told you have pre-diabetes, this class is designed for you. People with pre-diabetes can prevent the development of Type 2 diabetes by making changes in their diet and increasing their level of physical activity. Safe Ride Home
It is the law in Illinois that infants and children under 8 must be properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat. Expectant parents should attend this class between fourth to eight months of pregnancy. A trained child passenger safety technician teaches the class and
will assist you in proper installation of your seat. Call 815-842-4545 to register for this free class.
* Note: Safe Ride Home Class does not provide infant seats. Parents need to purchase a car seat prior to class. Financial assistance is available for families who qualify under federal income guidelines. Contact the Patient Accounts department for an application.
